GetIt Update: Additional RAD Studio 12 GetIt Packages Are Now Available - Marco Cantu

Embarcadero has restored the ability of the 12.0 GetIt server to install additional packages from the RAD Studio 12 Athens IDE via the GetIt package manager.

The rebuilt GetIt server for RAD Studio 12 now uses a cloud-based infrastructure in order to offer higher availability and faster response times.

RAD Studio 12 Athens Patch 1 Available

Embarcadero released a patch for RAD Studio, Delphi, and C++Builder 12 Athens. This patch addresses several issues in RAD Studio 12, primarily involving the IDE, the Delphi 64-bit compiler, FireMonkey, VCL, and URI processing.

Installing this patch is highly recommended for all RAD Studio 12 Athens customers. The detailed list of the issues addressed is available at the end of this blog post.

Celebrating Delphi’s 29th

February 13th, 2024 - 12 PM CST, 18:00 GMT

Presenter: Ian Barker

Join us for a "not your usual webinar" spin through the history of Borland, Pascal and Delphi, and a fond look at the legacy of computing legend Niklaus Wirth, with special live guests and cameo appearances.

You’ll see brutal sword fighting between two Delphi champions, a seditious attempt to zap our webinar host, Developer Advocate Ian Barker with a 20,000-volt tesla coil, and a re-creation of the Turbo Pascal and Delphi 1 UI if time allows.

You’ll also meet the winner of the prestigious 2023/24 "Spirit of Delphi" award, and join a million-strong crowd telling people about “Delphi, Everywhere”.
